Invitation to join the All Day Ride to Greenwich on 11 July

You are invited to join this year’s All Day ride to Greenwich on Saturday 11 July

The ride will depart from Beddington Park and go through Croydon, across Norwood Country Park for coffee and cake at Loki in Beckenham.  From there we follow the Pool and Ravensbourne rivers to Lewisham, then climb to Blackheath (the only significant hill of the day) and the Greenwich Observatory, descending past the Cutty Sark for lunch at the Dog and Bell in Deptford.

From there we go upriver to the Angel at Rotherhithe and then turn south through Southwark Park, Bermondsey Park, Camberwell and Brixton to afternoon tea at Wandsworth Common.  The ride finishes at Morden Hall Park.

33 miles in all, through parks and cycle paths and back streets where possible but necessarily including some urban riding.  Because of the complexity of the route and for safety in the busier places, we will ride in groups.

Let me know also, please, whether you will come straight to the Pavilion Café in Beddington Park, or whether you would prefer to be picked up at 9.30 from the Mansion House in Nonsuch Park and led to Beddington Park.
